MISSION:
Orono Cares was created to foster hope, opportunity and joy for families in the Orono community. Through fundraising efforts and partnerships with local organizations, Orono Cares is able to provide essential services for our neighbors in need. Since we began in 2016, we have been proud to serve more than 60 families.
When we care for one another, we are able to build safer, healthier, more equitable communities.

Orono Cares is partnering with MATTER, a global nonprofit based in St. Louis Park. MATTER is committed to tackling the world’s greatest health issues by empowering communities through enabling access to nutritious food and medical care, providing education and resources and mobilizing volunteers. MATTER delivers their mission locally, nationally and internationally through the support of generous donors like you.
